Editorial Content Lead
Job Purpose
The Editorial Content Lead will be responsible for the management and development of the organisation’s content requirements, including but not limited to reports, blog posts and website copy, as needed. They will also be a strategic thought partner to UICCA's executive team, shaping messaging strategy across all communications. This role requires developing an intimate understanding of the organisation’s unique perspective, tone, and leadership approach to craft authentic, powerful narratives that strategically position the organisation and advance its mission and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Content Leadership:

- Serve as trusted thought partner to the CEO, providing expert counsel on external communications, specifically speeches and presentations.
- Develop and maintain the executive team’s strategic messaging framework and style guide, ensuring a clear, consistent tone of voice.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging issues, and internal initiatives to drive relevant, effective messaging.
- Develop and maintain the organisation's comprehensive content style guide, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with brand messaging.
- Content Development and Executive Communications:

- Lead the creation of high-quality, multi-platform content including long-form articles, thought leadership pieces, multimedia narratives, and editorial features.
- Transform complex organisational initiatives and industry insights into compelling, accessible content that resonates with diverse audiences.
- Craft high-impact speeches and presentations for high-profile events and engagements. Tailor speeches to inspire and influence a range of audiences, including external and internal stakeholders, aligning tone, style and messaging to the audience and setting.
- Drive and oversee the creation of visual and multimedia content to accompany speeches or presentations, ensuring content is innovative, strategic, and aligned with organisational goals.
- Transform complex sustainability concepts into compelling narratives that resonate with diverse global audiences.
- Stakeholder Engagement:

- Build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to gather insights and ensure message alignment
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure depth and accuracy in all communications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proven track record of strategic partnership with C-suite executives or high-profile public figures. A background in journalism or communications is preferred.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities with the capacity to simplify complex ideas and tailor messages for specific audiences.
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate equally with senior leaders, internal teams, and external stakeholders.

- Experience in handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- A positive, solutions-oriented attitude, comfort with ambiguity, and ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
