And the winner is….Climate Action!

Last year, we launched Climate Call, a COP legacy project to engage passionate youth worldwide in creating innovative climate solutions. We wanted to empower young climate leaders from diverse communities, enabling them to utilise their creativity and passion to solve the environmental challenges of today.

Young people are the future of climate action, and by giving them a global platform to share their ideas, we intend to spark a global movement of cooperation geared towards a sustainable future.

And with over 125 ideas submitted, we’re pleased to announce the programme has successfully championed three incredible winning projects!

Climate Call allowed young people worldwide to propose solutions to three dire climate crises: energy sustainability, food security, and water scarcity. These interconnected challenges affect communities in different ways, and they demand urgent, innovative solutions.

Throughout the programme, participants actively engaged with one another—submitting ideas, voting for promising solutions, and offering feedback to refine existing proposals. A collaborative approach that turned Climate Call into a vibrant hub of idea-makers, all working together to find actionable solutions.

Climate Call not only helped generate innovative ideas but also created a global community of young people united in their commitment to climate justice.

UICCA invested in Climate Call’s winning by ideas, giving them the funding needed to move from concepts to implementation. The winners will also receive ongoing mentorship from climate experts, as well as exposure through The Climate Tribe Platform.

Traditional bureaucratic systems often discourage participation, especially for underrepresented or marginalised communities. Climate Call was created out of a desire to remove these barriers, ensuring that all voices are heard, particularly those most directly affected by climate change.

Today, we believe that Climate Call has laid the groundwork for a new wave of climate leadership and that the ideas submitted are potential solutions that could shape a more sustainable future.

The challenges we face—rising temperatures, food insecurity, and water scarcity—require immediate, bold, and collaborative action.

The momentum we generated will only grow as we watch these bold young leaders continue the fight against climate change. We call on nations, organisations, and individuals around the world to speak with their youth, listen, and champion their remarkable voices.
